Swim Meet info for Thursday, 6/19/25:
We are excited to have our 2nd meet of the week tomorrow. We will send out heat sheets and post entries live on SwimTopia early tomorrow afternoon. If there are any last minute changes to availability, please TEXT coach Tiffany at 252-315-5676.
WHERE: MacAulay Pool, 16023 Hallaton Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078
Theme: Although we usually only have a theme night on home meets, I'm declaring tomorrow's theme as "Water and Sunscreen." It's going to be HOT, so please make sure to send your swimmers with plenty of water and sunscreen! We will also do our best to create sections of shade for our swimmers in the team area.

- A-C: Coach Kristina
- D-G: Coach Nora
- H-L: Coach Cooper
- M-N: Coach Mitchell
- O- SH: Coach Wilson
- SM-Z: Coach Lily
MEET SCHEDULE:
- Warm-ups: Warmups for Wynfield begin at 5:30. We will warm up in 2 quick sessions tomorrow.
-
- 10 & Under: 5:30-5:40
- 11 & Up: 5:40-5:50
- 5:40: Meeting for ALL timers (1st AND 2nd shift) and S/T judges.
- 6:00: Meet begins. Projected end time is close to 9:30 pm.
*This is our first meet ever at the MacAulay pool, so the set up will be new to all Wynfield families. Please read the following information from MacAulay to help tomorrow go smoothly:
- Parking- There is limited parking in the pool parking lot and we are encouraging MacAulay residents to walk in order to leave open spaces for the visiting team. Street parking will be required, so please follow the signs and only park on one side of the street to not block thru traffic. There will be reserved parking for your Head Coach and Meet Referee. Parking Map attached for reference.
- Visiting Team Area- The designated area for the Visiting Team swimmers is the Baby Pool Area. Please note that swimmers are prohibited from getting into the baby pool.
- Spectator Seating & Viewing- Due to the configuration and size of MacAulay's pool deck, please find attached the meet set up diagram showing the spectator viewing area which prohibits chairs on deck. This provides the best opportunity for families to view their swimmer while running a safe and efficient meet. We welcome tailgating chairs and tents in the area near the tennis courts where coolers are allowed (no glass please). There will be plenty of trash bins in the area, so please help keep the area clean.
- Visiting Team Volunteer Check In- A visiting team volunteer check-in table will be set up near the baby pool entry gate near the playground.
- Concessions- Pizza, Chick-fil-A Sandwiches, Snacks, Candy, Drinks, and Tastee Ice are available for purchase via Venmo (@macaulaymarlins) & Cash.
PREPARING FOR THE MEET:
- Write your swimmer’s name (first and last) on their shoulder/upper back.
- Mark their events on their hands or arms. (Heat sheets will be emailed out and posted on our website by 2:00 pm tomorrow. Entries will also be visible on the SwimTopia App by that time.)
- *If you are new to swimming or need a refresher on how to mark your swimmer, see specific instructions below.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Team Suit
- Goggles (and extras if you have them)
- Cap
- DRY TOWELS!
- ***Healthy Snacks***
- Water
- Deck chairs for the adults
*REMINDER: NO GLASS CONTAINERS ALLOWED ON DECK
AT THE MEET:
- Please help your child set up a space in our team area. We really need parental support for this. It is very important that swimmers sit together to support each other and to make sure they don't miss an event.
- Help keep our team area clean. ALL swimmers should help clean up our team area before leaving.
- KEEP IT POSITIVE! We are guests of the MacAulay team, and we expect our athletes to be positive and respectful of others and the facility.
- Please DO NOT leave if your swimmer is in a relay. If a swimmer must leave early, please notify Coach Tiffany or Coach Kristina as soon as possible so that we try to prevent scratching relays.
Marking your swimmer:
Mark the arm as illustrated below in the picture in the order of Event/Heat/Lane/Relay Leg. Write on clean dry skin with no sunscreen. It is best to do this the night before in order to minimize sunscreen washing it away.
- Find your child’s race information on the Heat Sheets, the entry sheets, or the SwimTopia App.
- Label your swimmers with a black sharpie with their race details.
- On their forearm, mark their event information: (See further below for Stroke labels)
| E |
(E = event, H = heat, L = lane). For relays, add a slash followed by the position on the relay after the lane# (1, 2, 3 or 4)
