Tomorrow (Thursday, 5/23) is time trials. Here's what you need to know:

1. NO SPEEDY MEET PRACTICE TOMORROW.

2. Time trials for ALL 10 & Under swimmers will begin promptly at 6:00. Time trials for all swimmers 11 & Up will begin at 7:00.

3. VOLUNTEERS: PLEASE ARRIVE BY 5:45 (for first session) or 6:45 (for second session) for a brief training of how we will run tomorrow's "meet." We cannot run time trials without volunteers--if we don't have timers, we will not be able to start the meet. Thank you to those of you who have already signed up. WE STILL NEED TIMERS for both sessions tomorrow so PLEASE show up ready to help out!

4. PREPARING FOR TIME TRIALS:

• We will do our best to allow all athletes to swim 4 events tomorrow (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. If they have not yet mastered a particular stroke, they can simply sit that event out.
• Don’t stress! Tomorrow is purely about establishing a starting point for your times this season!
• ALL swimmers have been assigned the SAME heat and lane for all of their events. You can find your swimmers' heat and lane assignment on SwimTopia or on the attached document. Simply look for the fraction looking number. For example, Ethan Saborido is in Heat 1, Lane 1 for ALL of his events. On the athlete list, it shows the following under his name: #6 1/1 50m Free. The 1/1 indicates HEAT 1/ LANE 1.
• Mark your swimmer before arriving.
  • On their back, right shoulder, please write their first name, last name, and age. This will help coaches and timers verify that we have the right swimmer in each lane.
  • On the back of their right hand, please write their heat and lane number. For example, since Ethan is in heat 1, lane 1, I would write “H1 / L1” on the back of his hand.
  • If you need help with this, please arrive early and we will help!

***Please note that ALL swimmers currently on the Wynfield Regular Meet roster are entered in this meet and have been assigned a heat and lane. If you signed your child out of the meet, or otherwise told me they would not be attending, we do not expect them to be there. We grouped together swimmers who will not be in attendance and will be skipping over those heats in our computer system tomorrow.
