Dear Parents and Swimmers,

I hope everyone has enjoyed the weekend and had a chance to rest and enjoy time with friends and family!  Congrats to all who swam last week.  Both meets brought with them their own unique challenges, from weather to traffic, but despite the chaos we had swimmers pull some truly incredible personal best times!  As we head into our last week of the season, please keep all of the following notes in mind:

1. Practice this week will be on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9-10, and 10-11am, and from 6:30-7:30pm, as it has been all season.  We will NOT have practice on Wednesday, July 4th.
2. Fun Friday will happen at the Wynfield Pool as we prepare for Champs with our tradition of pancakes and posters.
3. The Championship Swim Meet will be held this coming Saturday, July 7th, at HFFA.  Details about Champs are below/attached.
4. On Saturday, July 7th, we will celebrate the kids and enjoy one last get-together at our annual end-of-season party and awards banquet. This year will not be offering a catering option. Please feel free to bring your own picnic dinner. You may have food delivered to the pool and you may bring a cooler- no glass. We will be providing cake for everyone and have left over drink donations. Please bring a swim suit, towel and goggles.....and a can of NON MENTHOL shaving cream for our annual shaving cream fight. We will eat, hand out awards and ribbons and then have our shaving cream event.

Who is swimming?

I am attaching a PRELIMINARY list of entries for Champs.  Please note that this is NOT a final entry list, and I am sharing it so that families can plan their weekend accordingly.  I will not submit final entries until Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning, as I still have a few entries that may change due to swimmer injuries.  As of now, any anticipated changes will not affect any swimmers already entered in Champs being able to swim at Champs.  However, if there are any new illnesses or injuries, relays could be affected (resulting in needing to re-work or even scratch relays) and swimmers not already maxed out on individual events (3) might find themselves being entered in one.

When is Champs?

• AM SESSION, Age Groups: 8 under, 9-10:  8am-12pm (Warm-ups may begin as early as 8am, which means families will need to arrive prior to this. Please allow time for parking, walking to the facility, and getting set up once inside.) 
• PM SESSION, Age Groups: 11-12, 13-14, 15-18:  12pm-4pm (Warm-ups may begin as early as 12pm, which means families will need to arrive prior to this. Please allow time for parking, walking to the facility, and getting set up once inside.)
